CFAO MOBILITY AND BAKHRESA UNVEIL NEW FUSO TRUCKS

In a move that underscores the role of corporate partnerships in national development, CFAO Mobility Tanzania officially handed over first batch of brand-new Fuso CANTER FE84 trucks to Tanzania most respected and leading companies Bakhresa Food Products Limited (BFPL) – Bakhresa Group of Companies, as part of a larger fleet of 100 trucks aimed at enhancing the company’s logistics and delivery efficiency across Tanzania and the region.

The handover event, held at BFPL’s factory at Mwandege in the Pwani region, brought together senior management from both companies, staff members, and truck drivers who participated in the first test drives of the newly acquired vehicles.

This event not only strengthens the longstanding relationship between CFAO Mobility and BFPL — a partnership spanning more than 20 years — but also speaks volumes about the impact of such collaborations on enhanced business access, employment and overall economic growth in Tanzania.
Speaking during the event, Salim Aziz, the CEO of BFPL praised CFAO Mobility Tanzania for their continued reliability in providing durable vehicles and comprehensive after-sales support.

“We applaud CFAO Mobility Tanzania for their consistency and dependability, which have significantly contributed to our operational goals. More importantly, these new trucks will enhance our business operations and directly create over 200 jobs, including opportunities for drivers and their assistants,” he stated.

“This is more than a logistics upgrade — it's a commitment to national development, where each truck symbolizes enhanced access to more people, improved livelihood and empowered community.”

CFAO Mobility Tanzania’s CEO Ali Timimi commended Bakhresa Food Products Limited for its forward-thinking approach and commitment to efficiency through the acquisition of zero-kilometre trucks.

“BFPL is setting a benchmark for responsible business practices in Tanzania and beyond. Their decision to invest in brand-new trucks reflects a serious commitment to long-term performance and sustainability,” Timimi said.

“Efficient transportation plays a key role in the national economy. When businesses like Bakhresa prioritize reliable logistics, the ripple effects are felt across the supply chain — from factory floors to shop shelves, and ultimately, in Tanzanian households.”

With the food and beverage manufacturing giant expanding its footprint across East, Central and Southern Africa, the additional fleet is expected to play a critical role in strengthening the timely distribution of goods and reinforcing Tanzania’s position as a regional logistics and food production hub.
