BOOTCAMP AT MSALATO GIRLS SCHOOL IN DODOMA BEGAN WITH THE GIRLS TAKING AN ACTIVE

DODOMA, TANZANIA — September 8, 2026.

Day One of the Bootcamp at Msalato Girls Secondary School in Dodoma began with the girls taking an active role in the learning process.

Working in groups, the students engaged in discussions, sharing ideas and exploring different challenges that could be addressed through technology.

The discussions gave the girls an opportunity to work together, listen to different perspectives and develop ideas as a team.

After the group discussions, the students came together for presentations.

Standing before the whole class, the groups presented the ideas they had developed during their discussions, giving each student an opportunity to participate and share what her group had explored.

Through this process, the girls were beginning to build important skills in teamwork, communication, confidence and problem-solving.

It was the first practical step of the Bootcamp—moving from discussion to presentation, and creating a foundation for the hands-on technology sessions that followed.

Day One had begun with an important lesson: ideas become more powerful when they are shared, challenged and developed together.
